here, the men who were engaged havicg been put on to continue the uprise from the level to connect with ihe top stopes. The size of the reef inthe leading stope averages sft in width, and in tbe sixth and seventh stopes it is fiom SfC to 10ft wide in the incline uprise above the top stopes. We have broken into the south winze 110 m No. 9 level, and are now engaged in taking out tli^s reraaiudfcr of the fctone. Here tbe reer still continues considerably broken. Jn the Lyell Creek Company's old uprise woik lias been discontinued for the present, as all the ava labls room for storing stone is occupied, the work of erecting a division in the battery paddock having been delayed until the general clearing up at the end of the month.
