DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB.
The monthly m-nefciug of the Dunedin Burns Club was held ia the City Hall on the 17th. baford a rery largo attendance. It was what was termed the " old buffers' " night, and those who provided the entertainment, although they were not all entitled to come under the designation applied to them, gave an entertainment which earned for them the hearty approval of the audience. »Tho itesns ou the progrsmme were an address on "The Genius of Scotland," by Dr Gordon Macdonald ; a. recitation by Messrs Burns, Gillies, and Muir ; songs by Mrs Morrison, Mies Turner, Mr Robert Brown, Mr J. Scott, Mr Thornton, Mr A. J. Burns, and Mr Muir ; a recitation by Miss Mayhew, and a Highland fling by Mr M'Beath ; besides which the choir rendered several part son^ts. Miss Wright acted as lieeornpanißt. After the concert dancing was indulged in for an hour.
