FANNY WENTWORTH COMPANY.
Mr Hugo Fischer, who haa the management > of Miss Fanny Wentworfch and her company's i tour, arrived in Dursedin on Saturday. Mr | Fischer is well known in New Zealand, having ! piloted eueh celebrities as Sir Charles atd Lidy Hail?, H. M. Stanley, Eantley, Max O'Rsll, Mark Train, Camilla Urso, &c, &ij , throughout th-e coknies. His present star, Miss Fanny Weutwortb, is the mosc eminejet musical entcrcainer of the day. Her ' musical sketches are on the same lines ; as the famous Gronemith and Carney Grain entertainments, the Daily Telegraph (London) calling her "Corney Grain in petticoats.", Miss fc'anny Wentworlh has appeared by com- ; mand before her Majesty the Queen, the Prince , «nd Princess of Wales^and other members of the Itoyal family. Sho has the co-operation of | Mr Hugh J. Emmetfc, ait eminent" American ; humourist, and the great French tenor,, Mous. ' E. Napoleon - Boffard. The entertainments will be inaugurated in the Garrison Hall en Saturday evening next.
