CHARITABLE AID BOARD .
The ordinary meeting of. the Charitable Aid Board held on Thur«day was attended by Messrs Chisholm (chairman), Begg, Wills, Fisher, Wilson, Clark, Haynes, Miller, and Samson. The Benevolent Institution Trustees wrote •that they estimated that they would require £10,200 to meet thtir wanis for the coming yaar. They expected £1200 from' outside sources, and therefore would require • £9000 trom tha board. — The requisition was approved. The requisition of the trustees for the month (£675) was passed. The requisition for the Female Refuge, amounting to £5, wai also passed. Tha application of the Industrial School, Cayeraham, for £689 was lefc to the chairman. | HOSPITAL BOARD. I The Hospital Board then met ; Messrs Chis- ' holm (chairman), Green, Samson, Miller, 1 Haynes, Clark, Wilson, and Begg being ; presfnt. The Hospital Trustees wrote that they would require for the yeir £4500. It was anticipated that there wonld be a debit balance of £60 at the end of the present financial year. It was nob purposed to ask for anything for building purposes during the coming year. — The estimate was approved. The month's estimate of £450 11s 8d was alsj passed. The Blackball C;al Company exported 1359 tons frora Greymonth last tieek, »nd tbe Brunner Company 600 tons.
