Other descriptions descended to nominal < pvicts, ■ The fat sheep penned consisted almost entirely j of ewes of ordinary quahtj', of which the supply | was far in excess ot the demand A very few l wethers, fit for frees'ng, fetched about previous j rate--, but all other descriptions miwt be quoted j lower by Is for ordinaiy wethers and from ls> 6d to 2s for ewes. Fat Lambs. — There was active competition for freezsrs, some of which realised 6d to Is above I previous sales' valuer. Be9ft butchers' lots held j their own, but half-fat and inferior so-ts were j neglected and a concession of Is to 2a had to be j submitted to. Best freezers brought, 10s to Its 3d ; fair lines. Si 6tl to 9.3 9d ; secondary had inferior, ' f rora. 5^.. ; ['igs. — The yarding was small and the demand '■ keen. B^coner3 bi ought up to 575, porkers tj i 40-, and stoics to 39-<.
