Pretoria, Febuary 15. President Kruger states that it is intended to call for tenders for a loan for building H6W railways and carrying out other public works in the Rand. February 16. President Kruger has announced tbafe it is proposed to extend tbe representation of the Transvaal at foreign Courts. February 17. The Transvaal Executive have dismissed Chief Justice Katze for repudiating the agreement come to by the judges not to teafc in future any laws of the Volksraad. Judge Grcgcrovske has been appointed Actiogchief Justice. February 18. Judge Katze, who was recently dismissed by the Transvaal Executive from the position of Cuief Justice, denies tha right of the Government to dismiss him. Hs does not regard the judicial law of 1897 as constitutional. Tne Government have, however, decided to adhere to Judge Katzs's dismissal.
