During tha corresponding rconth of last year 460 outdoor relief cases were dealh with, reprobating 202 mon, 343 svoaien, xud 785 children, involriug an average veetkly expenditure of £129 3s. There therefore was a reduction, the Chairman stated, in favour of the month just passed of 43 cases, consisting of 28 men, 34 women, and 178 children, representing a weekly saving of £18 18:» 6d. Some 46 relief cases were dealt with.
