CRIMINAL STATISTICS.

The annual criminal statistics iv connection with the Police Court at Duuedin have been made up by Sir R. P. Ward, clerk of the court. The figures show that during the year ending 3lßfc December, 1597, there were 1644 charges against males aud 392 charges against females heard in the Police Court;.
