JUBILEE INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
A well-attended meeting of the Processions Sub-comtaittee of fche Ofcago Jubilee Committes was held &fc Mr Harris Hartiogs's office oa Thursday. Cr W. Swan presided. Apologies for i:on-a* tendance were received from Messrs A. H. Shelton and W. Reid. The tweretary was instructed to communicate with tfce various friendly societies aad trade organisations ashing them to what exknt tbey would be prepared to co operate in the Jubilee procession. On the motion of Mr G. Ckichton, seconded by Mr R. M'Leixan, it was resolved—" That this committee decide to have sports consisting of wrestling, tuaning, dancing, bicycling, and walking at the termination of the procession and after the speaking, and that the Caledonian Society be approached for the use of their grounde." On the motion of Mr A. R. Bahclat is wasdecidtd to present prizes for the best dteplays in the procec-eion, details to be arranged at a future meeting. Mr Beundell moved and it was resolved— "That the secretary ba asked to communicate with the old identities through, the medium of ths editor of the Ofcago Witness notifying them that a special place of honour ■will be aliobted to them in the procession and inviting- their presence." Io was decided to invite the Ebns. D. Piitkerton and W. M. Bolt, M.L C.'s, Messrs M. J. S. Mackenzie, J, A, Millar. A. Siigo, aud A. Morrison, M.H R.s, Captain Robin, Messra T. Corui-sh, W C. Kirkcaldy, J. H. Chopmaja, W. J. Burk, C. Notman, W. Woodland, G. Morgan, J. M 'Donald, D. Duncan, W. B. Courtis, W. Mncleod, D. G. Carsvr.m, and J. O'Connor to join the sub« comaiifcfeti. Ifc was also decided that the subcommiiteo cbould meet each Friday. Ths chfcirman w&s asked to request the executive to invite the Governor and members of fcho Ministry to take pare in tho procession and. cebbrations of the day.

The Hon. R Oliver wrote sccepHng the position of a member of the Garieral Committee, *nd agreeing to assist the flub-ccnimiitee appointed to carry oat necessary arrangements ia connection with the art gallery section.
Mr J. P. Smith submitted a proposal snd a detailed classification of eihibita for the raining court, which was npproved of, and the secretary was ins!;ruc:ed to acknowledge same, and thank Mr Smith for his suggestions.
A complete prospectus has now been issued, at'd these can bs obtained v cn application to the secretaries, together with a form to be signed by f'.ose who intend exhibiting. As time ia somewhat limited, apx^lications for space must; ronch the Becretaries not later tttan February 19, and the executive expect that, even with the large amount of space at their disposal, ib will be found necft3Bar.y to give precedonce to thoEO applications made at an early data. Ib is intended as applications for space are received that these be all dated, so that the Space Committee may take into consideration date of applications when space is being allotted.
There are at the present time over 200 cas«3 of influenza in Nelson. Before tha departure of the Rotokino, Messr? C. Duncan, W. O. Millar, Thomson, and G. Grant, representing ihe passengers by the Roborua on her Bounds excursion, presented Captain Anthony and Mr Williams each wifch a set of pipes, suitably inscribed, the presentations being in recognition of the many kindnesses conferred upon the passengers during the trip. The deputation expressed the great pleasure felt at baing ©n-a ship -on which all the officers had laid themselves oub to make tha affair more like a family trip than a mere casual excursion. Loss of Voice.— Bonnington's Carragebh Ikish Moss is highly recommended. — " Sydney, April 20, 1896.
