Afc a special meeting of the Kaikoura Settlers' Association a resolution was unanimously adopted — " That in the opinion of members the public interests would be best con6erved by leasing the Clarence runs (exclusive of 1290 acres of shearing reserve) for the pericd of seven years only to the Assets Realisation Board, without competition, a? has been done in the casse of other Marlborough runs lattly. The aesociation therefore requests the Minister for Lands and the Marlborough Waste Lands Board to give speedy tffect to this resolution, which justly conserves all private interests as well as the paramount interest of people of New Zealand."
