January 2.— A disastrous bush fire rag^d in the vicinity of this township last night At midnight the whole township teemed doomed, no fierce and oveiwhelnmig were the fiamesi, but by - dint of strenuous cxc ttons aU the. buildings were saved with the exception of Mr 3T> AucMnleck's. dwelling h.Q.it&p, which, together M'ith its contents, was completely destroyed Mauy -mementos' of former years -woie lost, aud Cannot be replaced.
