There wa<; a splendid attendance ab the second day's races of the Manawatu Racing Club's Summer meeting. Results :-— Summer Handicap.— Daunt 1, Crimson Streak 2, Indian Shot 3. Won comfortably by a length. Time, Imin 17sec. Dividend, £2 16s. Handicap Hurdles.— The Artist 1, Sultador 2, Daute 3. Won by a length. Time, 3min 35>*ec. Dividend, £3 153. A pretest for allseed jambing and cro-sing in the straight was dismissed. Electric Handicap. — Chasseur 1, Boreas 2, Flying Shot 3. Won comfortably by over a length. Time, Imin 3|sec. Dividend, £3 10s. Hack Hurdles. — Plain Bill 1, The Barbarian 2, Ilodara 3. Slashing finish. Won by half a length. Time, 2min sisec. Dividend, £2 83. A. piotest entered for alleged interference will be con?ideied to-night. President's Handicap. One mile and aquarter.—Zvnella, 8.0, 1 ; Tirant d'Eau, 7.1, 2 ; Defiant, 7.9, 3. Aho started : Lorelei 8.8, Golden Plover 7.4, Ben Varry 6.11. Won by half a length. Time, 2min llsec. Dividend, £5 4s. Christmas Handicap. —Aquatic, 8 11, 1 ; Splinter 9.8 aud Daphne 9.10, dead heat for second pbce. AUo started : Master Hume 8.7, Violet S.I, Wavelet 87. Time, Imin 49scc. Dividend, £1 19*. Farewell Handicap.— Marino, 8.3, 1 ; Little Billee, 8.4, 2 ; Petroline, 7S, 3. Ako started : The Onyx 7.4. Won by halt a head. Time, Irain 39 3 ssec Dividend, £5 10s. A protest; against the winner for inconsistent running was dismissed.
