Your life is full of hope? Be j ■jons then ! "With rtifii-ulties cope Like sons of men. Tread fear beneath your feet, Give care the rout complete, Let worry have defeat, O sons of men I Your life is full of toil? Be steady then ! Be tillers of the soil Like Bor.s of m^n. Stand firmly to your work, No part of duty shirk, For there no dangers lurk To sous of men. Your life is full of cara ? Remember, then, That troubles fly like air From fearless men. Think not that you may fail, Work must success entail, 'Tis coward hearts turn pjle— Not sons of men. Your life is very brief? Be speedy then ! That is no cause for grief lo earnest men. E'eu as the moments fry Your best endeavour try ; Attempt, and tho' you dia You still are men ! Your life is very hard? Be harder, then ! It need not then be marred, O sons of men ! If hard, it should be strong • And, if it kubdue wroiiß, Its steel shall turn to song, O sons of men ! Your life is all you have ? Husband it then ! Waste not the smallest part, If ye be men ! Each day with wisdom spend, Do that which you intend, Your eye upon the end Of things and men. Your life is not alone ; Take courage then ! Know that you all things own Aa sons of men.
