" Holly Leaves," the Christmas number of the Sporting aud Dramatic News, sent in by Messrs W. J. Pricfcor and Co., fu!ly maintains tbe character of this annual as one of the best of the many attractive Christmas illastrateds which reach us. The conductors of " Holly Leaves " seem to have a h&ppy knack of selecting specially interest ing subjects for illustration, and this number is quite up to the usual form. The accompanying snpplement is a large coloured illustration of *'The relief of the Light B iga.de," a picture which cannot fail to bring, home to even the dullesi understanding the horrors of war and battle.
