POISONING CATTLE AND HORSES.
Cbristchtjkch, December 6.
On Saturday morniog two Jersey cow*, the property of Mr James Rowe, of Windsor Park, were found dead in a paddock. There is no way of accounting for their death. On« of the cows was found to have frothed at the mouth, indicating the possibility of poison.
Early yesterday mon.ing the trotting horse "Vermont was found d?ad in a paddock at "Woolston. Mr AlleD, veterinary jiurgeon, is of opinion that the horse was poisoned, and bad been given tither oxalic acid or tartar emet'e.
A pardon is offered 'to any person, cot being the principal cfEcnder, giving information which •will Jesd to the conviction of tbe efftuder or effenders in the recent horoc-killiDg cases here. A reward of £100 is also offered.
