ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Amatkur A. — According to Hugh Dalziel, the smaller breeds attain full growth in about 12 months from birth, but the largest breeds do npt arrive at maturity much under two years, and .there are gradations between these consistent with the varieties. He says that the first development of CRitrum, or " heat," is often taken to be proof of maturity in -bitches,, but this is an error, it being detrimental to health, to allow bitches to breed un-til they are full grown. t , ■ Owaka.— The oatmeal should ba well cooked, otherwise worms are inevitable.
