Mr A. G. Fenwick supplies the following extracts from the head office report for week ending September 1 : — Smelting Plant. — Four furnaces in operation. New eDgme room— Erection «f second new Root's blower completed, and blast connections of same .with stoves in progress. No. 5 .furnace— Water main in position, and connections with jackets in progress ; tamping hearth and other' detail work in hand. Brick Plant.— Erection new kiln in progress. . Deviation of Through Tram.— Formation- in progress. Widening % embankment of smelters' approach for siding from deviation to tmelters. Converter Hant.— Enlargement 'of londing facilities completed ; two vessels in operation ; .plane, doing , very satisfactory work ;- 2775 "tons of 'blister copper despatched to date, being 2300 tons for half-year. • * .
