MEW ZEALAND BOWLING ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the delegates of the New Zealand Bowling Association was held at Watson's Hotel on Monday night, when there were present — Messrs James Hiclop (vice-president;, in the chair), A. Mowat, E. R. Green, G. C*pstiok, J. Louden, J Cook, J. Cleghorn, A. Sinclair, W. Crombie, T. Chalmer, R. E. Wilson, F. P<sak<», J. W. Smith, D. MThersoD, M. Sinclair, A. M«cdonald, T. R. Dodds, B. Hogg, W. Wilson, and R. T. Wheeler. Mr Moodie sent an apology for his non-attendance. On the motion of Mr Sinclair it wa3 resolved that the annual meeting be held on October 6. Messrs James Hislop, M'PhersoD, and Wheeler wee appointed a eub-oomraittee to prepare the annual report. The question of revising the rules of the association was brought up, and after discussion was left over to the aunual meeting. The Secretary eta bad that in several ca«e« the same delegates had been appointed for more than one club, and ifc was resolved to notify those clubs to elect a substitute. Mr Capatick gave notice of motion. — " That the annual tournament be held in March, 1898." Mr Mowatgave notice to move — " Tbat the meeting be held in January, 1898." Mr Hislop referred to the loss Mr Bishop (the president) had sustained through the death of his wife, and several delegates spoke on the same subject, aud it wag agreed to send a letter of condolence sympathising with Mr Bishop in his sad bereavement.
