Aft»r buyeis had time to cool down from the excitement consequent upon the late rise in tha London marktt they found that that advance had been difcomited in the local market to a very large extent, and (hat there is nothing in London values to justify some of the prices paid here lately. The consequence was that in Monday's sale prices weakened to the rxtent of }rt to jd, and we »hnll not be purprisrd to see a further reduction in some of the sorts, especially in springs. We still require all sorts of skins for our ordr.rs. and pay for full winters (bucks and does) 32M to 13id ; selected does, to 14Jd ; outgoing winter?, fld to lOJd ; spring*, 7d to SJd ; summers, 4J«i to sJd— net cash ; no comniifsion.
We have a large order for calfskins, and are prepared to pay the higheat price ever paid for good souud skins.
