Wh-at: Since ours of a week ago the ma-ket can be considered, if anything, still firmer, despite the high prices then ruling. All the world t>ver this cereal seems to be improving, and the effect is noticeable locally. We q'lote : Prime velvet up to 4s 6d ; prime Tuscan, 4s 5d ; southern, 4s 3d ; red sorts, 4i 2d to 4s 4d ; whole fowl feed, 3s 5 I to 3s 9J. Oats continua in fair demand, though just at the moment outside port* do not seem inclined to pay ths prices asked by holders. It is vesy difficult indeed to get 2s for prime fee;}, Is ll£d being nearer the value. Milling again is worth 2-i 2d ; seed lines, up to 2s 6J ; ordinary feed, Is 10d to Is lOJd. Barley is still beiiig inquired for, but so little now remains in fanners' hands that quotations may be given nominally at 4s 6d to 4s 9d 'for prime. Potatoes : The supply continues quite up to the demand, and it is not easy to quit southerns at over £2 10s and hest Oamaruß at £2 155. Chaff : Really tjptoj) quality meets with good competition at fiom £315> to £4, while medium meets with considerably less inquiiy at from £2 15s to £3. Heedß. — Y/e would point out to our numerous clients that wo have just lauded a lar^e stock of all kinds of clover?, &c, and as we have imported eaiue dirtct _f rom the most reliable seedsmen in Great Biitaio, we can confidently rec.om-i.end them as b-ing i>f uudoubted quality, in addition to which ouv prices will be found to be most reasonable. We phall be very ple»sed to forward samples and q lotations on being requested to do so, aad we" would invite our clients to communicate with vs.

Turnip Seed*. — We also have landing and to arrive a very choice assortment of these. We trust our clients wilt scad in their orrlt-rs «arly, and they may depend ths,t at all times these will receive our beat care and attention.
