CONTINUATION SCHOOLS. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
Auckland, September 20.
luspector Petrie has visited the Devonport School to m»ke inquiries as to the working of thi classes in o^rpaiitry, whicb have existed in that school for some time poet;, with the objecb of promoting a scheme of continuation' school* for technical instruction. The school committee, on hearing of laspector Petrio's action, passed tbe following resolution unanimously :—: — " That this committee has learnt with pleasure that a proposal is being considered by the board for the establishment of continuation schools, and cordially approves of the scheme, believing that the' advancement of technical eduoation will be greatly assisted thereby."
