BALLOT FOR LAND.

Several surrendered and forfeited sections on the Murunenas Estate were balloted for at the Lands Office on Thursday :—: —

For section 7, block 111, consisting of 2l»_3r 36p, at a rental of 7s 9d per acre, with valuation for improvements of £i 10s; there were rive applicants ; John BrAssell being successful. For sections 11, 12, and 1(, block IV, comprising 26a Or SBp, at a half-yearly rental of £5 13d. with £42 15s Cd valuation for improvementf, there were three applicants ; s'uecessful, Henry Krqll. For section 53, block 111, A«r»moko district, containing 248 a lr, at a r«nbal ot Is 9d per acre, with valuation for improvements of £82 16«, there were ttro applicants : William Laird successful.
