Draughts Matches.
On the evening of the 15th a number of Dunedin draughts player* journeyed to Port Chalmers, there to try strength with the local men. After au interesting and hard fought contest the match ended in a draw, each side securing 11 wins. The game was at a very critical stage, and although they had an equal number of pieqts, the Matauta man htd an advantage in position, and with careful play would probably have won. Mr J. Mulvey was paired against Mr l'\ M'Kay, but Mr M'Kay did not turn up, to Mr Mulvey had no opponent.. After the match the visitors w«re entertained by thfl local club, Mr D.
