(&) This move is theoretically objectionable. Biack would do better by bringing cut his pieces. (c) 8 Kt-K 2 eeems more satisfactory. (d) To save the q p, but better would be b x kt, followed by p-q. b 5 ; then if V-B 4, p x b ; P x Xt, pxbp; QxP, pxp, gaining a pawn with an improved position. («) Veiy dangerous, but BUck has got into a cramped position and has small choice of moves. There seems no harm in q x p. (flqxp seems better, to lip. f-.llovred by p k let 3, p-k r4, etc., Black's best chance being to leave the kt at k 2, and try a counter-attack on the king's side.; By moving the knight he gets his position on the queen's side biokeu up. (jj) Block's position is now desperate. (h) With a view to p-r 5, Xt-Xt (3 eh, etc., which would ba good if available, but White knows all aliout it and frustrates it.
