Lyell, September 10. Alpine Extended. — The following is the mine xnanogei's report for the week ended yesterday :— "TKe No. 10 level h»s been driven south 12ft, making the total distance 82ft The reef iv the face of the level at present is sft wide, all clean stone, and gives a fair prospect of gold throughout. The win2w from No. 9 level has been sunk 4ft (in five days), making' the total depth 114 ft. There is no change in the size of the ve-f or in the quality of the stone since my last report. Owing to the bad weather I have not been able to complete the tr imway. There remains yet a couple of days' work for a few men to put it in order."
