The coin and bullion -T held in the colony amounts to £3,105,000. " The latest Yankee craze is said to be artificial ! almonds. They are made from turnips, and covered with a coating of gelatine. When roasted they are said to be undistinguishable from the genuine. What with synthetical per- t fumes, imitation fruits, and artificial almonds, I horticulture bids fair to become a loit industry. '
