DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS Weekly Report.

Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :—: — For Saturday's sale there was a moderate number of horses forward, among which were some good; useful draughts from the Gore district, and strong upstanding light harness sorts, suitable for bus and tram ' work, fiom Papakaio. Although the attendance of buyers was not large, bidding throughout the sale was brisk whenever young animals showing quality were offered. Draughts sold fairly well, and had then- been a greater number of horses of better quality offered no doubt more business would have been done. A3 we have 'had numerous inquiries lately for animals of this description. Spring-van and 'bus horses are in good request, aud consignment of strong, young, useful yorts would sell well here. Hacks and weedy harness horses are very little inquired after, and are hard to place.
