Church Affairs.— The quarterly meeting of the Weslejran Church in the Roxburgh district was , held last Friday evening, when great satisfaction I was expressed as to the quarter's work. The inI come exceeds the expenditure by several pounds. 1 At the trustees' meeting immediatelf preceding 1 the quarterly meeting the question of erecting a S paraonage was discussed, with the result that efforts will soon be made to augment the funds in hand for this purpose. The trustees are sanguine of having the work at least started before the end of the year. The Rev. Mr Jory, of Lawiencc, spoke on thi* matter at the annual tea-meeting on March 23 last.
