Below the distance Hebron resigned to Kilcock and Victor vVild, of whom Kilcock had no sooner reached Clwyd's neck than Victor Wild came out in pursuit of the pair. The finish was then of a de-perately exciting character, and although in j turn the heavy-weights looked like reaching | Clwyd, the advantage in poundage just saved ! him, and he won a splendid race from Kilcock by ; a neck ; three-parts of a length between second and third: Time, lmin 40»ec.
