[The individual reports of Stock Agents, Wool, Babbitskin. or Grain JBroJcers can hr inserted in the Daily Timet and Otayo Witness at Special Jiates J WRIGHT, STEPHRNSON, & CO.'S WEEKLY REPORT. Sheepskins. — At our sale on Tuesday there was an excellent attendance of buyer.--, and prices, which for the last few weeks have shown a slight dtf line, quits n-covered, and we sold all we offered at satisfactory figures We quote : Green cros&bred", 25 3d to 3s 6d ; extra good (freezers), up to 43 ; do lambs, 2s 3-1 to 3s ; dry erossbreds, good to best, 3s 8s to 5s 3d ; fair to medium, 2s Id to 3s ; pelts and inferior, 7d to Is 6d ; dry merino", good to best, 2s 9d to 3s 8d ; fair to medium, Is 6d to 2s 6d ; pells, small or damaged, 3d to Is each. llabbitskins. — We had a good catalogue for Monday's sale, and as there was a first-class attendance of, buyers, we had very spirited competition, and late prices were well mainiained; indeed in some instances a slight improvement was noticeable. The next sales in London take place on the 18th inst., and the result is awaited with interest, as of course a rise or a fall at this sale will directly affect the immediate futura of this market. Latest Home advices quote best winter greys at from 12d to 15d per lb ; summers and autumns, from 4|d to 7}d ; silver greys, from 14} dto 2V, d ; blacks and fawns, from B'd to Hid. Hidet. — No change to report. There is good inquiry for heavy, well-rlaved hides ; medium, light, are not in such goo i demand. We quotf : Prime heavy ox, 3Jd to 3Jd ; medium do, 23d to 3d ; light and inferior, IJd to 2id per lb. Tallow.— All coming forward is placed at la^t week's quotations. Best rendered mutton, 14s to 15s ; medium, 12s 6d lo 13s 6d ; discoloured and inferior, 9s to lls 3d ; rough fat, 83 to lls per cwt. Grain.— Wheat : 'Ihe market this week has been somewhat quieter, but there is no quotable change to report in prices. All prime milling sorts, both velvet and Tuscan, are readily saleable, but offconditioned southern wheats are difficult to place. We quote : 'Prime Tuscan and red sorts, 4s 2d to 43 3Jd ; medium to good, 4s to 4s Id ; fair to medium, 3s lid to 'Ss lljd ; prime velvet. 4' 3d to 4s 5d ; chick whet, 3s to 3s Sd per bushel (sacks in; terms). Oats : This mirket is slightly chmuithan last week, especially for oft'-colom'ed or inferior feed. We quote : Good to best feed, t's 2Jd to 2s 3}d ; fair to medium, 2s Id to 2* 2d ; btst milling and seed, 2s 4d to 2s 7d per bushel (.=afks extra ; net). Barley : There is very little offering, and although there is very good inquiry for prime malting samples there is but little business pa sinjr. AYe quote : Prime malting, 4s to 4s 2'i ; good, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; mpciinm, 3s 3.1 to 3s 6d ; feed and milling, 2s 9d to 33 3d par l.vsli-i (sacks extra ; net). Chaff.— As we anticipated in last week's reoort the rise we then quoted has not been maintained, and prices have declined 7s Gd to 10s per ton. This was no doubt caused by the decline in prices recorded in Sydney, which immediately stopped all shipments, and the locil market became at once overstocked. To-day's values are : Prime oaten sheaf, £3 17s 6d to £4 2s 6d ; fair to medium, £Z 10s to £3 15s per ton (ex truck ; bags extra ; net). Potatoes.— The market is somewhat overstocked, and late quotations are barely maintained. Unless really prime great difficulty is experienced in quilting those forward. We quote : Prinio northern Derwents, £3 to £3 ss; prime southerns. £2 12s 6d to £2 17s 6d (bags in ; net). Note.— We would direct the attention of farmers who attend the winter show next week to our exhibit of roots, Ac., grown from Challenge seeds with the help of our manures. We would also draw their attention to the high quality of Challenge seeds, a quantity of which will be on view in the Agricultural Hall.

GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs William E. Reynolds and Co., Bond street, report for the week ending 16th inst. as follows :—: — Wheat.— There is no change to note in the market for this cereal, and we can report the demand somewhat slack to-day, but we see no reason for altering our quotations of last week— viz. :— Velvet, 4s 6d ; southern grown, 4a 4a ; Tuscan, 4s 3d to 4s 5d ; red sorts, 43 2d to 4a 3d : fowl feed, from 3s to 3s Bd. Oats are perhaps slightly easier than a week ago, at the same time no one can point to a reason why they should be so, and we think it is mainly due to the fact that next week will be one of nearly all holidays, and business will consequently be somewhat suspended. We quote, with rather a slack demand ; Prime Sutherlandß 2s 6d— extra

fine 2s 61 ; light, heivy sparrowbills, 2s 4d ; good, sound, 2.< 3d ; ordinary, 2s Id to 2s 2d. Barley.— We have no change to chronicle, and the season is now practically over. All prime Unas are readily sold at late quotations, while infeiior lines of feed and milling are hardly in as good request. Potatoes show little or no change compared with the prices we quoted last week— £3 2s 6d to £3 5s for prime northern, and up to £3 for southern. Chaff.— Owing to very heavy deliveries dining the last week values all round were lower by very nearly, if not quite, 10s per ton. Prime quality, however, still seems to be scarce, and all forward sold readily at up to £4, while medium to good sold at £3 5s to £3 15s, and ordinary from £2 12s Gd to £3 2s 6d, with rather a dragging sale. | THE GRAIN AND SEED REPORT.. Messis Samuel Ojvr and Co., Stafford street, report for the week ending June 15 as follows :— The weather north is as dry as ever, but to the south of us they have had raiu, while locally we have had frosty weather _ •' Oats.— The market at time of writing is a " bit off," speculators and others bein»c quite afraid to touch them on the face of advices from the other side, which are far fiom encouraging; but this cannot be wondered at when you take into consideration the fact of 30,000 sacks going into Sydney in 10 days. The muiket will right itself if only giveu time, and we \vould_ add, too, that shipments from the south weie never so heavy up to this period of the year as this season, and will be felt bsfor« many months elapse. We quote nominally : Prime bright heavy Sutherland* and sparrowbills up to, say, 2s 4jd ; heavy feed, 2s 3d ; ordinary, 2s ]}d to 2s 2>Vd ; seed qualities, 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Wheat. — Market still good, and from all appearances likely to continue so— in fact some of the northern millers aie going 150 miles from their own doors to buy it Locally the demand is good, and any g od lots offering find a market at recent rates. If 'J''iisc.> quotes low to our friends in the extreme north, then their supplies might be drawn from there, .<nd help to break down prices here. We quote up to 4s (! i for prime milling ; velvet and other sorts, 4s 4d ; fowl feed, 3s 2d to 33 (id. Barley.— Wo sold over 1000 tacks during the week at recent quotations. Chaff. — A very largd quantity came fat ward for the auction sales this week, and a break down in prices was the result ; and though £1 5s was obtained for romp PxcepMonally fine quality, this cannot lie regarded as a standard, and wequote up In £i for prime ; othe- qualitiet , £2 15s to £3 15s. Potatoes. — The markets jaoith have finned considciably in sympathy with advices from Sydney, and we look bhortly to see them here at £4. WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.
