At a meeting of the Greymouth Trotting Club held this evening, John Anderson (livery stable-keeper), Eltham. and the bay gelding Schoolboy (otherwise Thunderbolt) were disqualified for life for fraudulent entry (ringing in) at the Greymouth Trotting Club races on March 19, 1897.
Gauze is believed to have this name becaufll it was first* made at Gaza,
