Brodie.— On the 2nd May, at the Dunedin Hospital, John Nichola>, the eldest son of Mary Jane and the late David Brodie ; aged 29 years. Deeply regretted. Fulton.— On the 29th April, at the Dunedin Hospital, Samuel, the beloved father of David Fulton, Great King street ; in his seventieth year. Deeply regretted. .L- Fkazer.— On the 29th April, at Kaitaugata, •Mrs James Jfrazer, relict of the late Mr James Frazer, of Taratu ; in the seventy-eighth, year of her age. " Her end was peace." Falconer. — On the 2nd May, at his parents'" residence, Halfway Bush road, James Alexander, second eldest son of Jame3 and Mary Falconer ; aged 22 years. Deeply regretted. Hurrtng. — Ou the 29th April, at Christchurch Hospital (suddenly), Louisa Hurring, beloved wife of Jame3 Hurring ; in her fifty-seventh year Deeply regretted. Hanson — On the 2nd May, at the residence of John F. Garvey, Wendonside, Harriette, relict of George Robert Hanson, 8.0.L., Emanuel College, Cambridge: in her eightieth year. •<♦- James.— On the 4th May, at his father's residence, Forbury road, Caversham, Francis Albert (Bertie) .son of Sydney James ; aged 26. Laing.— On Sunday, the 2nd May, at Christchurch, the beloved wife of William Laing (late H.M. Customs) ; aged 63 years. Moore.— On the 25th April, at Westport, Samuel Moore (sergeant-major New Zealand Constabulary) ; aged 62 years. Manvei,.— On the 2nd May, at Runnyside, Coal Creek Flat, Moses Edwin Manuel, after a painful illness ; aged 61 yeais. : Nicholson.— "n the 2Sth April, at her residence, Kaikorai Valley, Dorothy, the beloved wife of the late William Nicholson ; aged 64 years. Deeply mourned. Potter.— On the 2nd May, at his residence, Castle street, Joseph Potter; aged 5S years. Deeply regretted. Taylor.— On the 30th Apiil, 1897, at Spriughswk, bush road, Charles Rebert, 3ixth sou of William and Sarah Taylor ; aged 13 years. Waxic— On the 2nd May, at the Peacock Hotel Restaurant.
