Messrs Wright, Stefhe.nson, and Co. report as follows :— For Siturday's sale we had a good entry of di aught horses from the i'almerstou, Taieri, and Central Otngo districts; aho, a consignment on I account of the New Zealand Trust and Loan Com1 ti;iu}''B Berkley and Roxbuigh estates. Thosß commanding most attention were the three to five-year-old sorte, which sold up to £31, besides these we also sold a number of good, useful animils at quotations. Vor upstanding light harness hojvca and strong active sp»ing van soita ' there is a fair inquiry. Horses of these descriptions, when showing quality and breeding, are always saleable at good prices. Wtedy hacks and inferior harne s hoises are very slow •of sale. We quote : Fivst-clats heavy young I draughts at from £30 to £35 (extra heavy a pound ' or two more); medium, £22 to ££7 ; aged, £15 to .£2O; hacks and strong carriage hor3PS, £15 to j £20; good spring-cavt sorts, £11 to £15; light hacks, £7 to £10 ; inferior, £2 to £5.
