O. — If you are not within reasonable distance of a veterinary surgeon it might be better to leave it to nature, as bungling treatment may probably cause a lameness which would bo diilicult to cure. Masai a.— -It would be difficult to say what is the cause of your lambs shedding their fleeces without knowing the history of their previous treatment, but it is generally connected with some check in their condition or their health, and then being suddenly brought; up into high condition on rich stimulating food. Under such circumstances the wool almost sloughs off them, leaving the skin nearly naked. The treatment is to avoid as much as possible sudden changes of condition before or after weaning, allowing them long and clean pasture after they aie sepaiated from the ewes, and never have your paddocks overstocked, with strict attention to careful dipping, and the fleeces will remain unbroken until shearing time.
