Mantle, of Queenstown. The exhibits were brought from a wide range of country, Mr J. W. Judd. of Lake Hayes, exhibiting some good fruit and getting several prizes. The prize apples in Class IV— magnificent specimens, too — were giown by Mr Pierce at Mount Barker ; while Mr Drake, of Hawea Flat, was very successful with his exhibits. Luggite and . 1 Queensherry also sent in good exhibits. The | 1 'iarras cidp was almost unrepresented. The Alex- j j andra fruit-growers awaided .the show haidly ' any sup-joro at all, only Lye Bow, of Butcher's ! Gully, showing exhibits; and the town of Alex- ; j andr.i smt one solitary individual to swell the I visitora to the show, Clyde sending a very respectable quota. The total number of entries was 442, against 620 last year and 483 when the show was previously held in Cromwell. Altogether the , committee have every reason to be quite satisfied with this year's show. j
