VICTORIA v. SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
Adelaide, February 26. In the match Victoria v. South Australia the former in their first innings lost eight wickets for 277. C. M'Leod made. 48, Trott 61, and Gillsr 42. The fielding was poor. February 27. The first innings of the Victorians closed for 279. At the close of the day's play the South Australian* lost three wickets in their first innings for 343. Lyons 113, Darling 75, Reedman 49, Hill (not out) 74. Giffen (uos out) 26. In the Victorians' first innings Jones took one wicket for 59 runs, Giffen four for 71, Evans one for 64, Carracher two for 27, Reedman on« for 33.v One man was run oufc.
