The third wool tale of the season, under the auspices of the Auckland Woolbrokers'Association, was held thii morning, when 674 bales were offered. The quality of the wool, as is usually the case at the last sale of the season, was not good, the majority of lots being in a rough condition. A fair proportion of lambs' wool was offered. Mr Murgatroyd was the only southern buyer present. About 424 bales were disposed of, the bidding being fairly brisk, but prices were rather easier, notably in cases where wools were reoffered. The following was the range of prices :— Croaabred, 5d to old ; Shropshire Down, 7d ; long wool, 6Jd to 7Jd ; lambs' wool, 5Jd to 7Jd ; and locks and pieces, 3Jd to 4 jd.
