Mr A. G. Fenwick supplies the following extracts from the head office report for the wtei January 22 : — Smelting Plant —Both blast furnaces running. Extension of Smelting Plant. — Roof over bint and feed floor in progress ; excavation of on* storage pit nearly completed ; new blower No. \ tested ; slag dump embankment in progress ; aidi walls of extension of blast-furnace flue completed,, arch begun. Water Supply. -r-Conglomerate creek now running into high-pressure reservoir continually. Framework of east-fork tank erected; sides In, progress.
Converter Plant. — In continuous operation ; working half time and giving satisfaction.
