A VIOLENT STORM. London, December 7.

Wreckage from Brighton chain pier, destroyed in the gale, 'was dashed against the Wester pier, and cut it ia halves. The Times says the storm was the moat terrific gale of the century. Great damage waa done in Eastern and Southern England and Western France. The eleotrio railway between Brighton, Kemptown, and Rottingdean was, ruined.
