MONDAY, December 14, at 7.30 pm., Ac. ceptances— Palmerston Cup, 10s ; Two-mile Trot, 10a ; Novel Handicap, 10s ; Flying Handicap, 10s ; llile and a-half Trot, 5s ; District Handicap, 10s. ■ Entry for Maiden Plate, 20a. Rules and Regulations. District means the Waihemo, Waikouaiti, j Waitaki, Maniototo, and Vinctnt Counties. Nominations for Trot and District Handicaps to be accompanied with pedigree (if any) and previous performances of the horse. All Nominations and Acceptances, with the requisite fees, must be addressed to the Hon. Secretary not later than the hour and date mentioned ; and no nomination, acceptance, etc., will be received on apy pretence whatever after the time stated or without being accompanied with the necessary amount in cash. Winnerh of any of the above events debarred from competing in the Hack Race. Any owner failing to declare his colours at time of entry will be fined 2sov* ; and must forward at sinie time the name, age, and colour of the horse, together with real name of owner. The decision of the Stewards'- upon all pointa connected with the carrying out of this programme to be final. No entry received except upon these conditions. No horse to run in the District Races unless the bona fide property of a resident in the district for at least three mouths prior to the race day. The rules of racing, rules of totalisator and weights pf the Metropolitan Club will be strictly adhered to. The Trotting Races will ba run under the ules adopted by the Dunedin Jockey Cluh. ! Five per cent, will be deducted from all stakes [ for expense*.
