KAITANGATA.
Mr W. M. Shore wai on the 25th elected for the eleventh time aa mayor of Kaitangata. The voting was as follows :— W. M. Shore 112, M, Caraon 57 ; majoriby for Mr Shore, 55. Wellington.— The following is the result; of the mayoral election .— H. D. Bell 1239, G. Fisher 852. Invercargii.l.. — In the mayoral election Mr Jomh Hunan polled 358 votes as against 259 for Mi' John Stead. • Bath are councillors. -Mr Hanan will be the first native of the town to occupy the chair. There was a good deal of the temperance ej ment in the contest, Mr Sfceajl being a prominent Good Templar and prohibitionist. Mr William Murcott has been elected Mayor of Hampdeu.
