THE WALLAROO.

H.M.S. Wallaroo, from Wellington, arrived off the heads early on Saturday morning, and was boarded by Pilot Milne and stemmed into port, anchoring off Carey Bay. The Wallaroo is a twinscrew steel cruiser of 2575 tons, built at Elswick in 1890, her length being 265 ft, breadth of beam 41ft, and depth 15ft sin. She has a coal capacity of 300 tonß, her steaming power being 18 knots. Her armament is similar to the Ringarooma and vTauranga, and she is equipped with eight 4|in Sans, 12 three-pounder quick-tiring guns, and 16 magazine guns, with four torpedo tubes, • She is commanded by Captain W. H. B. Graham, and Bhe left Wellington at 11.30 a.m. on the 26th inst. She is to be open to the public on Thursday and Saturday. ' '
