The Waverley journeyed to Mosgiel to play )fce Taieri Second, and were beaten by 43 runs ton the flrVt innings. Waverley batted first, and put together 46 ; Ttieri responded with 89. Dr lllao (26), M'Leod (20), and Turnbull (14) batted well for the winners, as did White (11) knd Chadwiok (16) for the losers. The Monteoillo Juniors defeated the Trinity Bby an innings and 21 runs. For the winners W. Cameron (23, not out) and D. Churchill (14)** were the highest scorers, as was Raeeell (10) for the losers. For the winners H. Thompson (seven for 4) secured the best average, as did Bremner (six for 26) for the losers. Waverley met and defeated Moraington by 83 runs on the flrit innings. Scores i Waverley, 58 ; Cramond (44), Baird (23), Gough (13) were the highest scorers. Mornington, 45 (Payne 14). For the Waverley 'M'Glathwi (five for 13), M'Cornish (four for 10) bowled well, as did Gillies and Payne for the Mornington. The North-East Valley School defeated the High School A te*m by 2 runs. Scores : Valley, 32 (O'Shea 8) ; High School, 30.
