All nominations must be made in writing, giving name, age, colour, and pedigree of horse, and must in all cases be accompanied with the necessary amount in cash. The Rules of the Metropolitan Club of the district \vill be strictly adhered to, both as regards the racing and working of the totalisator. The trotting races will be ruu under tho Rules of Trotting of the Dunedin Jockey Club. No entry lo be received for any race except under thin condition :— That all disputes, claims, and obiections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or a majority of them, 'and tbeir decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme to be final. No protest shall be entertained unless lodged in writing and accompanied with the sum of two guineas ; this mm to be forfeited to the funda should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vtjxiitious.
