December I.— Mr A. Sligo crushed 38 tons of stone last week for 21oz retorted gold. ' • ') huiuag and party put thiougb. a tiial crushing of cement from their claim at the duep sinking, Hyde. The stuff, from which all the free gold bad been previously extracted, gave a return of 2oz retorted gold per ton. 'y" • lit Thomas Callender reports 21£oz gold from, the Matakitaki Gold Dredging Company (Limited) for 126 houro' dredging. The Golden Gate dredge got 260z 3dwt for last wei-k's woik. Mi- Jabczßuiton repoits :-"ThaEttrickGold Sluicing and Di edging Company washed up 560z gold for the week cn<it?:g Saturday, 28th mat. At a meeting of directors on' Saturday evening a dividend of 2< 6'cl per share whs declared, and made payable on the sth prox. The Roxburgh Gold Sluicing and Dredging Company's dredge ia making good headway up the liver, and, barring accident?, should be anchored at her destination, Malone's beach, by tha end of the week."
