AN EPITAPH.
Stop 1 little children, '.mid your play, And mark with quiet eyes Where one who once like you was gay In gentle slumber lies. x His time, like yours, beneath the sky On wings of pleasure flew ; ■ He loved the flowers, the stars on high; The glitter of the dew ; ; All things to him were beautiful, j His heart beat warm and brave— And now yonr little bauds rilay pull A daisy from his grave 1 July 1896.
