A great gathering of draughts players took place at Hamilton on Saturday, May 9. to witness ths final round In this tourney, which had baen la progress for six weeks. The final round 1 was be* tween J. B. Kirkwood and W. Andrews,' and waa won by the former, who scored a win in the fourth game, the other three being drawn. It will be remembered that Mr Kirkwood was the winner of lait year's tourney. The game which decided the championship is appended, being contributed to this column By Mr Thomas Mcnzles, Christchurch, who adds two variations for a draw i— Game 2iß4— " Second Double Corner."
