The Taieri Bowling Club's delegates have been instruoted to. support annual bowling tournaments— at Christohurch and Dunedin alternately. The Msrlborough Daily Times gives publicity to the extraordinary statement that, there is an ugly suspicion that three of the New Zealand representatives in the recent Intercolonial Fours were drugged before tbe race. The orew, tho paper remarks, kept the suspicion pretty well to themselves, and even now it has leaked out, in the absence of absolute proof, they prefer to say little, but think a lot. A .pigeon flying race from Danevirke to Weilington was won by A. Smith's Blae Fire. Time, 3ar lmin 3sec.
OTAGO GOLF CLUB.
The monthly competition for the St. Andrew's cross was played last Saturday, the players numbering 18. Owing to tho recent heavy rain the links were interspersed with what is known as "casual water," and this tended greatly to increase a number of ecores, eapecially on the putting greens. Oa tbe cards being handed in it was fouud that Mr W. C. MacGwgor was the winner with a net score of 95, Mr J. O. Kettle being second with 96 net. The following are the players and scores under 110 .—
