BENEVOLENT INSTITUTION TRUSTEES.

The regular meeting of the Benevolent fnatitu tion Trustees was held on the Ist inst., and was attended by Messrs Cbisholm (chairman), Ilayncs, Allan, Solomon, Gourley, »nd Swan. For June test year the casts numbered 452, corapiising 171 man, 360 women, and 922 children, the weekly coat then being £135 10s. The increase in the expense was pointed out to be £10 5s 6d a week, or about £500 a year. Dr Sutherland wrote that lie had attended two patients at Milton who were receiving aid from the trustees, and he failed to see why he should not receive remimeiation for the attendance.
