Messrs REMSiURnx and Co., wool and skin merchants (near railway station) report :—
Oomignments are coming to hand more freely, showing also a diutinct improvement in quality. Prices remain firm, but so far as auction sales are concerned, buyers show no inclination to inorease their price-, although privately we have given a shade over last week's quotation for choice welldenned lines. Among these -we paid 13d to Mr ! F. Henderson, of Whare Flat, for a line of the ' best cleaned skins (bucks and does) we have seen \ for some dime.- Those who are in the habit of never or only, partly cleaning their skins should ' not forget that there is a difference of from Jd to 1 2d per lb between fatty aad cleaned skins. j
